Confidential Automotive Recruitment Services (CARS) is a registered Private Employment Agency specialising in the recruitment of experienced staff for retail franchised motor dealers throughout Australia and the South Pacific. Most of our work is with franchised dealers, but we will happily handle any automotive industry associated business.

Geoff Fowler, Chris Fowler, Rowan Coe and Leo Simmons make up the team at CARS.

CARS was established in 1997 by Geoff Fowler, who brings to the organisation a 44 year career in the automotive and tractor industries. Geoff has worked in the industry at both wholesale and retail levels with a variety of automotive and tractor franchises and was a Dealer Principal for 16 years. Geoff commenced his career with Ford Australia at Broadmeadows and moved to Queensland in the late 1970’s as Dealer Principal of Metro Ford in Brisbane.

Chris has been involved in the automotive industry from an early age. Upon completing his Bachelor of Business degree with a major in Human Resources, Chris worked at a senior level in both the Brisbane legal and recruitment industries. Having moved through the ranks of various middle and top tier law firms and experienced life at senior management level, Chris decided that it was time to join CARS and focus on growing on service offering on a national and international scale. Chris has been a key member of CARS since 2007.

Rowan holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing and has extensive management and marketing experience within a variety of industries. Rowan joined the team in 2008 and since that time has successfully helped to grow our services by providing additional recruitment support to the Australian dealer network.

To help increase our focus for our Southern region clients, Leo Simmons joined CARS in 2010 as the Southern Regional Manager. Leo is responsible for servicing our clients and candidates in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Having Leo on the ground provides for a local presence in these regions, further expanding our service offering whilst providing a more personalised and region specific recruitment and human resources solution. Leo brings more than 25 years experience in the automotive industry to the table, with a strong emphasis on management, sales, finance and training.

When not at work, both Geoff and Leo are keen golfers and enjoy a round of 18. Geoff regularly competes in social golfing tournaments and is happy to be playing with a handicap hovering around 10. Both Chris and Rowan are keen motorcyclists and often go on social rides through the South East Queensland region, frequently punctuated by many conversations on why the Triumph Street Triple is supposedly better than the Suzuki GSX-R600, Chris however is yet to be convinced. Chris is also a very keen recreational boater and goes fishing / diving at many spots around the Moreton Bay region.
