Our client operates a multi, major-franchised dealership in what must be one of the jewels in the crown, when it comes to Australia’s top tourisms destinations! The site is looking for a suitable Dealer Principal to take over from the long serving incumbent, who is relocating, after a number of years in the chair. This role IS NOT with a publicly listed dealership, but a private enterprise, which sells and services 5 major brands, of which 4 can be found in the top ten!
You will be the envy of your former work colleagues after making the move to this fantastic spot, which is home to some of Australia’s best fishing, boating, camping and 4wding activities. The town is one of the fastest growing in Australia and is home to around 15,000 residents, a number which swells to almost 50,000 come peak tourist season. With over 300 dry days per annum and an average high temperature of 32 degrees, the weather is generally always on your side for outdoor activities like boating and fishing.
The dealership currently employs around 30 staff and moved in to its brand-new premises in the last 6 months. Selling around 50 vehicles per month, the dealership has been performing solidly for the past 3 years, and there is no reason why its performance in the next three years should be anything different. The service department has a bustling 14 bay workshop, which is always a hive of activity, given the dealerships excellent mix of brands, which fit its PMA to a tee.
The ideal candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate that they either hold, or have held, a General Manager or Dealer Principal position, with a suitably sized dealership. Whether your background is in sales or fixed operations, our client is happy to confidentially speak with candidates who have a stable history, with a major operator/s. Candidates who fall outside of these parameters are still welcome to apply, so long as you can demonstrate experience operating at a very senior level within a major dealership, such as Financial Controller, General Sales Manager, Fixed Operations Manager etc.
