The Purchasing and Inventory Controller will be responsible for the sourcing of parts, from both local and international suppliers. Continuously reviewing and resolving any issues regarding supply and pricing, ensuring best price, supply terms and lead times are achieved. Forecasting demand based on purchasing history and lead times, you will also develop purchasing procedures and automate checks & balances to identify cost saving opportunities. The ideal person for this role will possess a background in parts / inventory management. Experience with purchasing and negotiation, SKU manufacturing environments, and advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheeting will also required.
As an alternative to this role, it is possible that the purchasing responsibilities could be handled by others, and instead a part-time position could be created, with the sole focus on managing and optimising the organisations parts inventory.
