Technician (AT5399)

Our client is a family owned dealership located in the Orana district of NSW, who are looking for self-motivated technicians who want to be part of a community that embraces a way of life that provides the perfect balance between work and lifestyle.

You will be working in a diverse region that offers a variety of sporting and hobby clubs from extreme sports to horse racing events, fishing, arts and crafts.

In your role you will be responsible for:

  • Taking all necessary steps to diagnose and ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty, including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components
  • Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
  • Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to Service Manager and record using in-house databases or reporting systems
  • Ordering parts needed as part of warranty service
  • Providing guidance and training to Apprentice Service Technicians
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
  • Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of all vehicles

The ideal candidate for this role will possess an extensive knowledge of vehicles (ideally Ford), the ability to work proactively in an autonomous environment, high attention to detail with a good work ethic and the ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit. You will also need to have intermediate PC skills and hold a current and valid manual driver’s license (NSW).
